For over 30 years, Glenfields Nursery has been a valued part of its local community, providing high-quality childcare and early years education. We are proud to be building on that strong foundation while bringing our own vision, values and commitment to creating exceptional environments for children to learn, play and thrive.
Since taking over the nursery, we have already begun an extensive programme of improvements. The newly renovated Baby Moon rooms are now open, providing a bright, welcoming space for our youngest children, and several outdoor areas have also been transformed to enhance children's opportunities for outdoor learning and exploration.
Importantly, we have retained the entire existing staff team, ensuring continuity for children and families while combining their experience and knowledge with the wider support and expertise of our growing nursery family.
To celebrate this exciting new chapter, Banana Moon Catterick will be holding an Open Day on:
Friday 25th July
10:00am – 2:00pm
The event is open to both current and prospective families, and visitors will have the opportunity to explore the nursery, meet the team and see first-hand the improvements that have already taken place.
There will be plenty of activities for children and families to enjoy, including:
- A special visit from Peter Rabbit, who will be welcoming guests throughout the day
- Goody bags
- Raffles and prizes
- Games and family-friendly activities
- Opportunities to speak with staff and ask questions about the nursery
As an added bonus, families who register their child during the Open Day will benefit from no registration fee.

The addition of Banana Moon Eaglescliffe allows us to extend that vision to even more families while maintaining the personal approach and strong relationships that are at the heart of everything we do.
